Winchell, Marsh and Co. had Army contracts for over 600,000 canteens throughout the war. Our reproduction features a tin spout, jean cover, stopper with twine and cloth strap with makers mark. Although this Cincinnati maker produced canteens that were issued to soldiers in the western theater, examples from this maker also saw service in the east. *If you would like a leather strap contact me first as there will be a slight additional charge. *Jean covers will vary as per original examples.
