Between the early months of 1862 and 1864, Atlanta served as an important manufacturing center for the Confederate Army of Tennessee. Our cap pouch and cartridge box are faithful reproductions of items originally produced at the Atlanta Arsenal, recognized for their unique features and markings. The cap pouch bears the marking “Atlanta Arsenal GA 1862,” while the cartridge box, will normally be unmarked as per original, but may be stamped on request. Noteworthy characteristics include the absence of a front tool pouch, pointed rear belt straps, and an English-style finial.
